SteviaStevia is not a drug, it is an herb. Many many people are going back to nature and going back to a more pure and wholesome lifestyle. Low carb dieters are no exception. Stevia lets us do that, while adding a bit of sweetness to our lives. It has been used for hundreds of years by native American Indians in South America as a sweetener, and is estimated to be 400 times sweeter than sugar. Nature produces it, and as we know, when you let nature alone to do her thing, she works wonders. There are so many good things to say about Stevia, so many other great benefits attributed to it, we can’t begin to talk about them all here. For example, as part of the widespread movement away from chemicals in the body, Stevia has been extensively used in Japan for decades, and has had a 41% market share for potently sweet substances consumed in the country. Stevia is an FDA approved herb in the USA, not a FDA approved sweetener. You can make your own guesses as to who wouldn’t want it approved as a sweetener. But hundreds of years of safety and success made it impossible to stop its use as an herb. Which is fine with us, as it allows us to use it in our foods for added flavor, and offer it to you as an herb that just happens to taste sweet. And it keeps its taste when cooking too! We at LCY use it in many of our products, and also sell it in various forms you can see here: Splenda - Real Sugar Without the Carbs
