    Fiber Rich Bran Crispy Crackers

    These crispy bran crackers are crunchy, healthy, and keep you regular on the diet. 4gms per cracker.

    (TIP: Some people LOVE these plain. In fact, my entire family, and most people we see at the Low Carb Yummies café like them plain.  They do have a nice bran flavor, but they need salt, and something else on them, in my opinion.  Of course, I love salt. I’m definitely in the minority, but to me they don’t come alive UNTIL you put something on them (and some salt).   Then they really shine.  Great crispy crunch. I love them with cheese, butter, low-carb peanut butter, etc. I have about 5 a day, and along with the gourmet chocolates, it keeps me regular. If I have eggs, I sometimes have 1 with butter (and sometimes jam) instead of bread or a tortilla. I have 3 with butter or cheeses as a late snack, and sometimes I break them up and use them with a dip. Oh, I also add plenty of salt (which they need in my opinion). I keep it on hand by the case!)

LOW-CARBOHYDRATE
INSTANT MASHED POTATOES!!!!

 The biggest no-no is now a yes-yes.  Mashed potatoes are back!!  Actually they are called Ketatoes.  Ok, stop laughing.  We didn't name it!  But they make pretty good mashed potatoes. 

A word of warning…on the box they say you can make all kinds of other potato based products with Ketatoes, but we tried some and didn't like them much.  You might have a different experience.  We do know the mashed potatoes are darn good though! On the other hand, the mashed potatoes were very nice, and a great relief to my potatoes starved brain. 

(TIP: This may require some experimentation to get it the way you like it – i.e., method of cooking, amount of mix to use, etc..  Plus, we’ve really found that using lots of melted butter in it & on it, or butter in it, and gravy on it, with plentiful salt & pepper, make it quite delicious and overcome it’s weaknesses.)
